Hi Phil,

Nice to know linkedin does work, I run about 50:50 on how much to do there!

Prior to trying for a crowdfunded project several companies did expressed an interest in the project. However, the big USP for this for me was the chance to do big open science with an educational angle and this project was ideally suited to doing that.

I will now explore the more traditional funding routes, including private investment in the hope of seeing this sensor get off the ground. The crowdfunding open reserach will have to wait for another project.

Thanks for the advice re: the Spill Control Org, this not being my field I have found it hard to to get to grips with the best people to talk to!

Thanks

Matthew,

Just caught up on this via Linked In. Have you considered looking at private enterprise. I worked for a spill control company in the UK (only an SME) but there are some larger players and this is an aggressive marketplace. The International Spill Control Organisation may be a good starting place?

Kind regards, Phil Harrison
